National Australia Bank in November announcing 6000 job cuts over three years, equivalent to about 18 per cent of its full-time workforce, while saying it will create 2000 new jobs. The bank has said that, where possible, it will retrain staff with the 'aptitude and commitment' to do so, and expects that some of the job losses will come from natural attrition.
